It’s more in Life than Just Basketball…. I HOPE!

Congratulations! Mr. Obama on becoming the 44th President of the United States of America! I must say everyone but FOX News is excited. I had the opportunity to visit my hometown a couple of weeks ago (a BIG shout out to Goldsboro, NC) and saw first hand this excitement in my own family. My family is crazy for President Obama. I can not remember anyone in my immediate family talking about POLITICS. Well, I take that back because everyone talks about how bad the 43rd one was lol! My mother loves President Obama; she gets excited just to see him walk across any stage (how disgusting). My wife always talks about how much “SWAG” President Obama has and I hate it lol. If Hillary would have won and I talked about how much “SWAG” she has, I might not live to see tomorrow! All of this love for President Obama has made me a believer that he will bring change; well at least he has in my family.
I am eager to see how the world will change in the next couple of years. The economy, the war, my TSP account, and better yet FOX News will they all get any better. Will this one man change it all? Some compare him to the late and great Dr. King and the dream that he had, or IS President Obama THE DREAM? Sometimes I wonder if some of the people in this world that hate for no particular reason will ever wake up and live this DREAM. A DREAM of love for one another regardless of race, gender, or any other thing that may divide us. To all my people, like Kevin Garnett, would say, “WHAT YOU GOIN TO SAY NOW?”

RECRUIT IN THE HOOD! PLEASE! DIE BIG EAST DIE!

Duke got destroyed in the BIG DANCE last night! And I can not sleep knowing that we haven't made it to the Elite 8 in a while. Coach K please read my lips "RECRUIT IN THE HOOD PLEASE! We haven't had a great point guard since J. Will! Please get a big man because Big Z isn't a post player. Did yall see him get the ball under the basket and pass it out to the three point line! I GIVE UP! I HATE TO SAY IT BUT LETS GO HEELS! The ACC did nothing in the BIG DANCE the ACC is the BIG EAST DOOR MAT! And good ole Shane was the King of the Charge, because he had to bring something else to a team of ALL AMERICANS! But now all these DUKE BOYS just want to flop and not play defense! COACH K READ MY LIPS "RECRUIT IN THE HOOD PLEASE! DIE BIG EAST DIE!

INJURIES HURT BUT LOSING HURTS MORE!!!! LABTECHS ARE 6-0!

THE LABTECHS were without several key players against IAP. Big Man Michael Smith is out with a shoulder injury, Swingman Corey Chaplin is out with a chest injury, Shooting Guard Brian Hill is battling flu symptoms, and Osmond Johnson was with the BIG BOSS. So who was left, hmm? Believe it or not Coach Banks had to pull out his basketball shorts and hit the court for this game! So it was up to Sylvester Brooks, Phillip Buoy, and Coach Banks to pull this win out for the LABTECHS. IAP realized that the LABTECHS were not at full strength and thought that surely they would win this one. But the Triple B’s (Brooks, Buoy, & Banks) had something else in mind. Buoy and Brooks came out firing and kept it going throughout the game leading the LABTECHS to a 69-55 victory. With our backs against the wall the LABTECHS were able to gain sole possession of first place! After the game Phillip Buoy made it clear to everyone that the LABTECHS are for real and no matter who plays we will always give 110% in every game! Brooks kept up his scoring production with 37 points and is averaging 34 points over this three game stretch. The LABTECHS our hoping that their injured players will be ready for the big games coming up in April against WTB, Lunchbox, and WRAIR. The pursuit for the perfect season continues for at least another week when we will face Headquarters Company on Apr. 1st at 7pm. Don’t BE A FOOL to think that we will find defeat in this one or could we, considering its APRIL FOOLS DAY!!!! TO BE CONTINUED!!!

ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST! LABTECHS ARE 5-0!

THE MIGHTY LABTECHS crushed Student Company by a score of 87-67. Behind the play of Sylvester Brooks who dominated the game from start to finish the LABTECHS are in a tie for first place. Coach Banks praised his team for remaining dedicated to perfection and reminds his players to take this season one game at a time. The first half of this game was an offensive struggle for both teams. At the half Coach Banks decided to put his big men on the guards of Student Company which cancelled their penetration in the lane and it worked! The LABTECHS continued to push the ball, eventually out gunning Student Company. All year the motto for the LABTECHS has been “RUN AND GUN, ALL NIGHT ALL DAY,” keeping the score above 60 is our goal. The LABTECHS believe that there is no team in this league capable of playing a fast tempo game for 40 minutes! The LABTECHS will suit up and play their next game against IAP. IAP comes into this game in last place but will be eager to knock off one of the last undefeated teams. COME OUT AND SUPPORT YOUR LABTECHS because it’s the BLOOD THAT BINDS US ALL!

LABTECH "DRAW" CLOSER TO THE TOP WINNING 68-48!!!! IMPROVE TO 4-0

The Mighty LABTECHS came out victorious once again, winning by 20 points against the wounded Cougars of Charlie Company. Behind the play of Mr. Brooks who poured in an amazing 36 points the LABTECHS won by the score of 68 to 48. Mr. Brooks hit shots from deep behind the arc and amazed the fans with a Tomahawk DUNK to open up the second half. This game was close early but Coach Banks made a couple of defensive adjustments which allowed the LABTECHS to neutralize the guard penetration of Charlie Co which contributed to the victory. The LABTECHS are now 4-0 and will face Student Co in their next challenge. Osmond Johnson, Corey Chaplin, Don Carey, and Peter Cudjoe will need to continue to dominate the paint giving the LABTECHS the rebounding edge in every game. The LABTECHS will be entering the toughest stretch of the schedule in the next couple of weeks and must remain focused and play team basketball. So get your ticket and let the LABTECHS DRAW INTO YOU!

THE NEW LOOK WARRIORS!!!!

The new look that the Warriors are displaying is very impressive. We walk in the gym with brand new warm ups and a SWAG like NO OTHER! Coach Banks is filling in as Head Coach and has brought a very relax atmosphere but still holds every player responsible for his play on the court. Brian Hill has moved over to the point guard position keeping the ball in his hands and forcing him not to settle for the jump shot. Andre Hall is finally keeping the team together not with his outstanding play but willingness to build team chemistry. Smitty has embraced his new role of coming off the bench to play defense and rebound. Phillip Buoy understands that when he is in the game that he must play tough defense and hit open shots which he has done in the last several games. Mr. Harvin understands that he must play and be a part of this team not only during the games but at practice as well. Lance Boulware is finding his place on this team and continues to grow within the offense. Michael Monroe had a good weekend in the last tournament and understands what when he is in the game that he must shoot the ball! Bobby Driver is finding his place as he continues his development as the best player on this team. Isaiah Jackson is a key big man off the bench and has continued great improvement in his low post game. G. Cannon is out for the rest of the season with an ankle injury but he still gives great help on the sideline with his knowledge of the game. Veteran Montoya Wooten has been plague with several injuries but his jump shot will be needed down the stretch. Q. Burns we need you back with us to put the icing on the cake because your point guard play will help the overall production of this offense. But most of all the best look that the Warriors need is YOU! THE FANS! WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! Be apart of something great and SUPPORT YOUR WARRIORS!

LABTECHS DRAW FIRST BLOOD AGAIN!!

WE THE BEST!!!!!! LISTEN!!! THE LABTECHS had another BIG win beating QSI 92-48. Mr. Hill scored 58 points and once again did it all from behind the arc. THE LABTECHS will face its first true opponent on Feb 23rd against the STUDENT COMPANY PONY’S! This will be a STATEMENT GAME according to Coach Banks. THE LABTECHS will keep this game at a fast pace to exploit their opponents weakness of transition defense. THE LABTECHS are scoring about 83 points per game but don’t let this fool you because THE LABTECHS play excellent defensive. Please show your support and cheer for the best team in the land!!!! GO LABTECHS GO!

LABTECHS WIN 97-43! WOW!!!!

The LABTECHS played their best ball yet. The inside and outside game was clicking all night. Coach Banks after the first half encourage his team to push the rock more and pick up the tempo in the second half. Led by the play of Mr. Hill the LABTECHS almost hit the century mark by games end. The LABTECHS got their BIG MAN back tonight who got the crowd into the game with a SLAM DUNK over the opposing team. Newcomer Mr. Brooks put down another thunderous dunk putting the LABTECHS up by double figures. During the second half Hill just kept shooting the “3 BALL”, scoring 42 points! Coach Banks has put together another championship squad and should be considered as an early coach of the year candidate. Come out and support the LABTECHS on Feb. 9th at 7pm when we take on QSI. After the game some players from WRAIR criticized our performance. WRAIR is delusional to think that they are the team to beat this year! We will face WRAIR at the end of the season for the #1 spot. MARK YOUR CALENDAR! THIS WILL BE A GAME TO REMEMBER!!!!!!!!!

LAB TECHS WELCOME NEWCOMERS!!!!

This year’s LABTECHS Unit Level Basketball Program started its season victorious beating the Environ. Serv. team by five points. The best shooter in the Armed Forces, Brian Hill aka “I Live for the 3” poured in 51 points! Take into consideration that the LABTECHS only scored 61 points. Yes people he scored 51 of the 61 TOTAL POINTS!!!! WOW. Even though the LABTECHS low post game was in hibernation they pulled out with a win. Coach Banks aka “MONEY IN DA BANK” has brought several championships to the LABTECH NATION and plans to continue this success. He will be up for coach of the year after recruiting this very talented team. Will the LABTECHS win it all behind the play of Mr. Hill…….. I think so!!!!
